Offer In Compromise

Offer In Compromise

An Offer In Compromise is a settlement agreement between an individual or business taxpayer, and the IRS for less money than the full balance owed. The IRS has created a series of formulas which determine whether or not you qualify for tax relief. If the formulas are applied correctly, you can receive a tax settlement with the IRS. If these formulas are applied incorrectly, your offer will be rejected - or worse, you will overpay the IRS.

IRS Problem & Tax Lien Help Group, in association with our parent company Tax Relief Network, specializes in the Offer in Compromise process, a legitimate method for settling federal tax liabilities.

Why the IRS Offer In Compromise Works

The Internal Revenue Code, as series of rules and regulations which the IRS runs under, authorizes the IRS to accept less than the full amount of tax liability owed in some cases. But, for the offer in compromise to be accepted, a taxpayer must demonstrate either that he or she cannot pay the full tax amount due, or that the taxpayer does not owe the amount which is due.

If you qualify for an offer in compromise settlement, it can save you thousands of dollars. But, in order for the IRS to consider your offer, complete financial statements must be submitted to them for either you or your business. These financial statements must disclose all income, expenses and assets. But not all people or businesses qualify. To determine whether you do indeed qualify, we compare your financial information with IRS formulas, and then provide you with the help you need.
